Residential Real Estate Market Mayhem

• The state of the residential real estate market is critical for heating contractors since many sellers may upgrade their HVAC systems to help sell their home or buyers may upgrade after a purchase. Slowing the housing market, however, is necessary to tame inflation.
• Unfortunately, existing home sales during September 2022 decreased by 10.5% from August, which was the fourth consecutive month of declines, according to The National Association of REALTORS®.
• The US Census Bureau reported new single-family homes sold during September (603,000) were 10.9% less than August and 17.6% less than September 2021. Sales increased significantly in the Northeast by 56.0% but decreased by 20.2% in the South.
