• In its 2022 Wellness Real Estate Report, RLA Global highlights two trends expected to continue influencing wellness and real estate: The appeal of branded residences and the post-COVID demand for real estate in less crowded, non-urban environments.
• The average total revenue per available room (TRevPAR) during 2021 was still 35% less than pre-COVID levels at properties with significant wellness offerings, 44% less than at hotels with minor offerings and 55% less than at hotels with no wellness offerings.
• Despite pandemic challenges, the annual 2022 US Spa Industry Study conducted on behalf of the International Spa Association (ISPA) shows spas across the United States generated $18.1 billion in revenue during 2021, a 50% YOY increase.
